Tonight I decided that really just the fact that two people lack a best friend is not nearly enough to let those two people become best friends. Not by a long shot. I thought maybe with some effort. But no... sure I'm not saying that I'm not going to be her friend at all but there is no way that I'm going to be anything like best friends with that girl.
In other news went to my first board meeting of the toy library... it was such a cliche but half the table did all the talking and to each other they hardly even looked at the people sitting on the other side. I volunteered to do the poster for teh open house and have just finished. I really enjoyed it. It was so much fun. and so sassy.

Your friends comments made me laugh. Best friends, or even good friends don't happen every day. I guess there has to be some chemistry or kinship, just like other types of relationships!

I don't know... at this point I'm so starved for adult conversation I would accept pretty much anyone as a personal confidant. I moved from huge , Oakland CA (population a gazillion) to a smalllllll hole in the wall. If I want a conversation with a mature human I go to the grocery store.... or talk to myself- the baby thinks thats pretty funny.
I think we get more selective in our "old age" and that's a good thing.
