bugs
E has been growing more and more fascinated by our bug friends. She has befriended the beetle and now the worm. We rescued many from the gutter today and have put them in a jar of dirt to watch. I had to steel myself to pick the first worm up - but E just stuffed them all in her hand and started naming the sisters, mother, and cousins. We have been watching a new favorite science cartoon called "Peep and the Big Wide World".

I used to love digging up worms in my grandmas rock garden. I thought they were great. (weird)
Good for E! Recently for 5 yr old bday gift we gave him a bug collecting kit and a projector with slides so that he can view the bugs he finds on a wall. Pretty fun. E would love it.
I for one, do not like bugs. One would never know I grew up on a farm. I like to kill bugs.
