It has begun

We had our first friends vs family conflict the other day. E saw a couple of the neighborhood kids riding by and she asked them to come play which they did but when it was supper time and they got back on their bikes then she wanted to go bike riding too and didn't want to come in for supper. Then during supper she was super cranky and didn't really eat anything. She was pretty tired but I think at least part of it was that she wanted to play with her friends; not eat supper with her family. E is so very socially confident. Right now she went off from the playground with another neighborhood girl to play at her house with nary a glance back. It makes it so much easier to put Z for a nap if E isn't here but it is so strange - it's her first solo play date.

I put off inquiring about playschool quite a while until I was sure that it would be too late and there would be no spots left. But spots there are so come September my little E will be heading off for her first school activities without me. She'll be fine. She'll probably love it; it's me I'm worried about.

It hardly seems possible that the little muffin is old enough for school. She is full of life and bursting to live it obviously. Hugs to you all. Can't get my blog to work!!

Wow. These are big events when the littles real independence begins. Just think of her in playschool as special 1-1 time with Z.
It all goes much too fast doesn't it?

It seems that preschool is the norm these days. I'm not sure what I think of it. I feel some pressure to get it sorted out already.
I bet E is going to love it! And you probably will too =)
