Ebay is feeling the pinch

As you know I've been a fan of ebay for quite some time. I go through spurts and lags but still I do quite a lot of shopping there. The Economist was talking a while back about the increased competition that Ebay was facing and they bought Skype for ridiculous amounts of money. Today I saw two things that shouted loud and clear how desperate ebay is feeling. Listings for $.1 for the rest of the month and kickback money scheme for everytime you buy stuff.
It's not just the buying or the thrill of the bargain its the amount of time can waste while doing it. Last night I spent 1.5 hours looking at scrapbooking card stuff without buying a single thing. I've been looking lately a lot for clothes for E because she is growing out of everything. I was looking for Gymboree but gave up because there weren't good enough deals but tonight I did win an action for a gymboree outfit plus 6 dresses - the cutest one covered in fruit.

The other night I was looking for summer clothes for me and after looking and looking and getting no where I randomly typed in Sweet Pea and found out that it is a clothing brand and so I bought this
It arrived quickly and I wore it on the weekend. The brown suede looking tye matches perfectly with a brown suede skirt that I bought (on ebay of course) earlier this winter. I am also waiting for this to arrive.

I've never really gotten into eBay but I think it could be totally addicting. I love shopping/looking on Etsy.
Nice work with the outfits =)

Great choices!
Yeah, I'm a bit disappointed with Ebay these days...mainly because of shipping costs. I'm wanting a new stroller but the shipping is as much as the stroller. So, not worth it.
