At the conference
Oh it is so exciting to be here, wearing makeup, eating lovely food, having adult conversations - s uch as they are- The first speaker was just so inspiring John Wood. He walked away from a job at Microsoft to found Room to Read and he was talking about building schools and libraries in places where I've travelled. It brings back so much and it feels so empowering for the future too. What a great organization... maybe I can do something to contribute through it.

I think it would be so rewarding to get involved with something related to literacy. Reading for pure enjoyment is one of the best things in life!

Hey we have a booth there! Some fool decided to nominate me for Vice-president of the Book Publishers Association of Alberta. I don't get to go to cool conferences but I do get to goto really really exciting bored--I mean board--meetings in Red Deer.
I hear fro Kathy that the Library thing in Jasper is always a blast...have fun.
